Before 1828, when Torp was attached to Villers Canivet, this small chapel was the parish church of the town of Torp. Built in the late 10th and early 12th centuries, this place of worship is dedicated to the Virgin. Named by the Vikings and transformed through the centuries, used by the little sisters of the poor, we find several centuries of history. The chancel, Romanesque in the Norman style, still includes arched openings, carved modillons, a walled side door and a stone altar; three graves with the coat of arms of the Morel family are visible on the paving. Bought by the town hall in 2002, the Association des Amis de la Chapelle de Torp accompanies the town in the renovation of the site and its restoration.
