Free or guided tour of the La Villa Louvier heritage centre
The heritage centre La Villa Louvier is located in the bourgeois house of the Dupoizat Park. It aims to make discover and understand the architecture and heritage of the city of Saint-Symphorien-d'Ozon through the history, the built, the objects of art, the know-how and the different natural environments of the municipality. The medieval town, the architecture of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, the gallop, the printing on fabrics and the local culture of watercress are the highlights of a visit. After more than 2 years of work, its inauguration for Heritage Days 2021 unveils a permanent exhibition in 3 rooms dedicated to history, economy and natural environments, with a special tribute to the Dupoizat family, owner of the premises for 130 years.
