Treasure hunt in the garden!
Created in 1936 by a teacher passionate about botany, this place that extends over 2900 m² in the heart of Colombes, does not meet the traditional definition of the garden. It mixes large trees, wastelands, ponds, vegetable garden, orchard, small woods, botanical areas of wild plants. You can see frogs, toads, newts, oak jays, epeiche woodpeckers, hedgehogs, etc. Created in the movement of secular patronages of the Popular Front, the botanical garden of Colombes welcomes children from 1936 for an initiation to nature and activities allowing them to develop their creativity (theater, pottery), as well as gymnastics. This garden continues to fulfill its educational role thanks to a municipal team that welcomes school children and offers events throughout the year. The association of the nature center of Colombes offers open doors to the center, naturalist outings and conferences.
