The priory San José de Châlons is based(established) in 1614 as urban dependence of the abbey Benedictine of Avenay. His(Her,Its) cloister is built in 1640\\. The chapel will be rebuilt in 1706\\. In 1788, the priory is deleted(eliminated). Buildings(Ships) welcome successively the Saint-Maur home, home attached to the Hôtel-Dieu in 1846, a house of education for the orphans then the retirement home. Partial registration(inscription), among which both wings of the cloister, in conformance with(for) historic monuments since 1995.
