From 1920, Fernand Maillaud shares his(her) time(weather) between his(her) Parisian apartment, Provence and Fallow land where he begins the construction of Rénabec on the hill of Madeleine. Enticed by this hill which was then deprived of trees and covered with brackens and with heathers, the painter made build, in several stages a house which he called Rénabec ". From then on, he(it) came it every summer. At the bottom of property is the garage, Fernand Maillaud having very early used an automobile to go to paint country landscape of. It is possible to see the sign(brand) " Renabec " there carried by a strange animal. The entrance gate in elliptical bow(arc) is decorated in a style typically Maillaud.
