Centre of history(story) and of report(memory) where is evoked the history(story) of 16 000 Jewish people, among whom 4 400 children, committed between 1941 and 1943 in the camps of Beaune-la-Rolande and Pithiviers before being, for the great majority, murdered in Auschwitz. Hundreds of archive documents, interactive screens, IT borders and numerous stories, accompany subject(words). The visitor also discovers a history(story) too long forgotten by 1 200 Gypsies, among whom 700 children, committed in dreadful conditions to the camp of Jargeau between April, 1941 and December, 1945\\. Pedagogic workshops(studios) are organised to lead the young people to think about stakes in this history(story) for our present. Meetings with witnesses(batons) and historians, temporary exhibitions(exposures) and cultural events are regularly programmed, in particular as part of Tuesdays of Cercil. Since May, 2015, Cercil presents its new exhibition(exposure) for theme «With Jews of France and with First World War». This exhibition(exposure) received the label of the Centenarian(Centenary) of First World War.
