Strasbourg restaurants have a history
The Castle Square (in standard German and Alsatian dialect Schlossplatz) is located in the Grande Île of Strasbourg. It was built in 1215\\. Originally it was called the Fronhof (Corvée Court), then it changed its name several times. Its limits were determined by the Bishop of Strasbourg at the beginning of the 13th century. The buildings surrounding it illustrate three decisive periods in the history of the city’s architecture. The Cathedral and the left wing of the Work of Our Lady (1307) bear witness to the Gothic period, the right wing (1580) of the Renaissance and the Rohan Palace is characteristic of 18th century French architecture.
