Gospel at the church St VINCENT
St Vincent’s Church in Haverskerque defies time... and the low, heavy sky of Flanders. It is a three-aisled Gothic hall whose Flemish cartulary mentions its existence from the beginning of the 12th century. It then belongs to the Abbey of Saint Bertin de Saint Omer. The square tower of the bell tower, in Romanesque style, dates from the eleventh century: it separates the choirs from the main nave. The three choirs and its naves, attached to the tower, date from the 16th century.
