Concert with four hands: «Amours, Délices et Orgues»
One of the buildings the most representative of Rhenish Gothic in Alsace. His(Her,Its) construction lasted more than two centuries, the end the from XIIth century till XVth century s. Remy Faesch, last project manager of the Collegiate executed from 1430 till 1492 north shoulder, octagonal part(party) and arrow (78 metres) ended in 1516\\. The western side is adorned with a remarkable historié portal(gate) (1342-1498 - 3) tympanums, unique(only) in France. Gargoyles, chimeras and glazed tiles add to the majesty of the building(ship). Indoors, three Gothic styles – primitive(initial), radiant(shining), flamboyant – are represented. Sculpted in oak and in walnut, the stalls of the chorus(choir) which train(form) the whole the most important kind(genre) in Alsace, date of the XVth and XVIth century s. Many coat of arms, mostly placed in vaults, redraws the alliances(wedding rings) of the house of the Hapsburg during the XVth century s. and the unions of the Lords of Thann. Stained-glass windows (the XVth century s.) are divided on 8 windows of 15 m of height.
