The CASH of Nanterre is a public institution with a health, social and medico-social vocation with a rich history. Opened in 1887 with the aim of transferring the House of Repression of Saint-Denis, it saw its functions transform quickly to become a hospital in its own right from the beginning of the twentieth century. Today, it plays an important role in the territory thanks to a high-performance hospital centre, oriented towards the city, and a medico-social centre providing accommodation and support for the precarious public.
