Abbey founded by the Cistercian monks of the abbey of Bégard, in 1137\\. In activity until the French Revolution, fallen into ruin. Finally, restored by Dom Alexis Presse, Cistercian abbot between 1936 and 1960\\. Abbey "living", open to Catholic worship, and place signifying the history of Christian Brittany throughout the centuries, to this day.
