Discover a 12th century medieval encampment
Hierges the feudal invites you. At the gates of Belgium, marked by the history of its castle, the village of Hierges is a journey through time. A place full of charm, when one walks through the main paved street with its blue stone houses and slate roofs, but also the alley that goes up to the church of Saint Jean-Baptiste and finally and above all, the romantic ruins of the castle that seem to watch over the village. There, more than 1,000 years of history are open to visitors. Rebuilt in the 16th century, this castle, now privately owned, still bears witness to Mosan military art.
