Aperçu

The construction of the castle of Chapelle-Bertrand goes back up(raises) to the second half of the XVth century or to the beginning of the XVIth century and can be attributed(awarded) to Briand Bonnet (1440-1500), whose weapons appear in the key of vault of the northwest tower. The castle passes(spends, crosses) by inheritance or donation to families Melun (first half of the XVIth century), of Escoubleau des Sourdis (the XVIth century and environment(middle) the XVIIIth century), Poignand de Lorgère (from 1759 till 1814), then from Auberry, the domain of which the last descendant leaves to his nephew Louis de Saint-Laon in 1875\\. The home is of rectangular confined(quartered) plan by round towers except for the northeast angle; it is compound(made up) of two floors and covered with a roofing in two high pitch pieces. A polygonal tower located in the middle of the facade shelters a staircase in screw, crowned with a vault in five nervures fan-shaped. Every room(part, play) which, at origin, occupied all width of the home, is adorned with a fireplace kept(preserved) in its home state.
