In 1825, the bishop of Périgueux confides(entrusts) to the architect Louis Catoire the edification of a big(great) seminary(seminar) which is finished(ended) in 1849\\. In 1888, a violent fire devastates the building which is then rebuilt. He(It) contains a monumental facade, two perpendicular side wings and a chapel in the central body. It is the city which obtains places in 1907 after the expulsion of his occupants at the time of the separation of the Church and of the State (law of 1905). The building will serve then as barracks then as labour accommodation(housing) before welcoming, in 1928, the Professional College of higher education. The high school receives the name of Albert Claveille in 1934.
