Memorial of the abolition of slavery: free visit
The crossed views of Pierre Guillon de Princé, descendant of a slave ship owner and Dieudonné Boutrin, a slave descendant, president of the association La Coque Nomade-Fraternité, who look at their respective histories: Impact of the slave trade on the Nantes economy in the 18th and 20th centuries, on the port and on real estate architecture. In what context, not devoid of resistance, has matured the idea of this project of monument dedicated to the slave trade and slavery. Meditative visit of the Underground Memorial and the esplanade that connects it to the Victor Schoelcher footbridge and the new Tribunal of Nantes.
