Visit of the Fromentin chapel
The Centre Chorégraphique National de La Rochelle is part of a constellation of nineteen choreographic centres located in the French territory, tools for a bold cultural policy initiated by the Ministry of Culture and local and regional authorities more than 30 years ago. The first hip hop choreographer appointed to head a cultural institution, Kader Attou took over the direction of the Centre Chorégraphique National de La Rochelle in 2009\\. His artistic and cultural project gives pride of place to hip hop culture, its development and democratization on a regional, but also national and international scale. It occupies the Fromentin Chapel, a Jesuit chapel renowned in the history of La Rochelle.
