The chapel of Maradénou, or Malodène, is an ancient priory of hermits of the order of Artige. The only remaining element of the priory, it can date from the end of the twelfth century or the beginning of the thirteenth century. Acquired by the painter Miklos Bokor, he creates a monumental fresco that covers the entire interior walls. The realization of this contemporary and gigantic work in a medieval building gives this chapel a universal and memorial dimension, because it now bears the memory of a man who knew the Shoah and the stigmata of a chapter of history.
