The Single Command Room is located on the 1st floor of City Hall. Place where on March 26, 1918, the French and English political and military authorities entrusted General Foch with the command of all allied troops fighting the German army. This event was decisive in the outcome of the conflict which ended a few months later and which saw the victory of the allied forces. Two magnificent frescoes by the war painter Lucien Jonas perfectly illustrate the event are visible in this place.
