Guided tour of a monument symbol of victory and brotherhood between the United States and France
Located 10 kilometres from the Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery, this monument commemorates the Meuse-Argonne offensive, during which the First American Army won a victory after 47 days of fighting, from September 26 to November 11, 1918\\. This monument was erected by the American War Monuments Commission, a government agency of the United States of America that also maintains it. With a total height of 60 meters, it is surmounted by a statue symbolizing freedom. Visitors can access the observation platform (opening hours are displayed outside) from which you can enjoy a magnificent view of almost the entire terrain conquered during this offensive, which was the biggest battle in American history at the time.
