«Rapa Nui», musical tale by the baroque ensemble Les Sauvages
Since its renovation, this museum, labelled monument Museum of France, presents on 700 m ² a route(course) redrawing two millenniums of history(story) of Christianity. The name of the museum leans on the Greek root, hieros, sacred, and made a reference also to the hieron of Greek antiquity, spaces at once religious and political. The Museum eucharistique of Hiéron was conceived(designed) by the architect Christmas Bion between 1890 and 1893\\. He(It) is one of the rare museums in France builds from the start to fill(perform) this function(office). The Jesuit Victor Drevon and Alexis de Sarachaga imagine the construction of this museum in 1880s to receive a collection of works of art on the theme of Eucharist. The conception(design) of the museum of Hiéron is typical of the architecture of the museums of the end of the XIXth century. As for the Petit-Palais in Paris, a mixture is made between classicism of forms and of materials, and innovative techniques of construction. The skeleton of the visible(obvious), central room since reopening in 2005, presents a metallic architecture influenced by Gustave Eiffel. The museum presents between others, the Romanic portal(gate) outstandingly preserved from Anzy-le-Duc (XIIth century), classified as "Historic Monument" and the fabulous National Treasury, Via Vitae (Path(Way) of life, on 1894-1904), from the silversmith Parisian jeweller Joseph Chaumet. Opening to contemporary art, the museum proposes a new cultural approach of the religious feeling of Christian Occident
