Ampus, 4th Heritage Walk 2023\\. This year, with the kind permission of the military authorities of Canjuers, the municipality of Ampus and the municipality of Châteaudouble are organizing a hike where we will enter the Canjuers camp to climb to the site of the former Beau-Soleil iron mine. Along the way, we will also visit the Micouraou well, an old mine entrance and some ruins of the Lavelan farm that housed a grocery store for miners. To revive this era, we can count on our historian Ampusian Thierry to tell us the history of these sites. WARNING: due to its difficulty, this hike is for experienced walkers and is strongly not recommended for children: +10km to travel, 500m of elevation gain for a period of about 6 hours on very paved paths.
