Free visit of the Antoine Vivenel museum
Installed(Settled) in a beautiful hotel of the end of the XVIIIth century, the Antoine Vivenel museum shelters precious stories of the most bright civilisations of Europe and of the long history(story) of Compiègne, favorite residence of the French sovereigns. Antoine Vivenel, his(her) founder in 1839, gathered(collected) a superb collection of works of art which demonstrates his(her) love of antiquity, Renaissance and of art in his/her time. The museum also receives the product of local archaeological excavations(searches).
