The museum was created in 1988 thanks to donations made to the association by families, most often biscarrossaises but also from neighbouring municipalities. Documents and models trace the evolution of local geography, including dunes and lakes. The work of the members of the two art workshops, namely basketry and porcelain painting, is also exhibited in this museum. Furniture, tools and various objects and documents are an important part of Biscarrosse’s history.
