Beautiful house of master(teacher), built in a sported park by more than 2 hectares, construction of which goes back up(raises) at the beginning of the XVIIIth century s. It appears for the first time, in 1716, on a plan of Nicolas Duchêne as belonging to "Mister de Courcelles". Numerous owners followed one another, of Charles Joseph de Courcelles there, advise(recommend) secretary of the king in the XVIIIth century s., to Pierre Charles de Baudinet of Courcelles, captain of the regiment of Bourbonnais at the beginning of the XIXth century s. The family of Baudinet of Courcelles which acquires it in 1802, keeps(preserves) it until 1949, date in which the city of Montigny-lès-Metz becomes owner there, with the intention of installing(settling) the French administrative subdivision there. But project is abandoned(given up). The Co-operative of reconstruction is done up there, then, then, premises(places) receive a nursery school, as well as a firm of architects. For a long time deserted, the castle degrades, little by little. It is that in 1995 when several projects of rehabilitation are developed. Then, it is necessary to wait for 2001 so that the municipality begins(undertakes) a large-scale restoration(catering). Today, the castle of Courcelles became one of the centres of culture of the city and receives exhibitions(exposures) throughout the year, the park serving, as for him, as case for events(demonstrations) such as family picnic, open-air shows or else concerts.
