The paths of Escobecques and their history
The Church was rebuilt with war damage but also with the participation of the inhabitants (127 inhabitants) in 1927\\. Built by M. and F. Lhermitte, in brick and stone, preceded by a bell tower porch, surmounted by a pyramidal spire covered with slates, it has a sacristy. The pulpit was dismantled in 2018, leaving more room for the faithful. In the small side chapel, is the painting of Christ in the Cross offered by the Escobecquois in 1882 in memory of Master Augustin Laumondais parish priest of Escobecques and Englos for 45 years. The stained glass windows are by David and Plateaux: a stained glass window is in memory of a soldier wearing his gas mask, killed at Bras on March 5, 1916, died for France.
