The purpose of the Cévenole Library is to gather and make available to the public a collection of books and documents relating to the country and the people of the Cévennes. Since May 2022, it is installed in the former Temple of the commune of Peyremale, in the hamlet of L'Elzière. Public library with associative management it is open to all. Its catalog already has more than a thousand books: novels, of course (Chamson, Chabrol, Léautier...), but also books on history, geography, on cities and villages, on the environment, the fauna and flora of the Cévenol country, and more beautiful books of photographs, biographies, works in Occitan and even some comics... It also has many works on the mines and miners of the Cévenol basin and on the fight of the Camisards.
