Conceived as cultural structures of proximity the Micro-Folies are cultural mediation devices promoting new forms of encounters between art and the public: around a Digital Museum gathering more than 2,300 digitized works from international and national cultural institutions, the Micro-folies, at the service of territories, also aim to promote local initiatives. They thus provide wide access to the treasures of the largest regional, national and international cultural institutions. the Digital Museum can also be accompanied by a Fab Lab (digital manufacturing laboratory), a virtual reality space or a media library-games library, creating a real cultural platform available to local users.
