The Aleria Museum is a site museum that preserves and enhances the collections unearthed during excavations carried out in the territories of Aleria from the 1920s on the site of the Roman city, then on the Etruscan necropolis of Casabianda. The Greco-Etruscan section of the collection, composed of ceramics with rich decorations with red figures, weapons, jewelry, represents one of the most beautiful and richest currently known internationally. The establishment is housed in a Genoese fort. It is at the heart of this building classified as a Historical Monument that the Archaeological Museum of Aleria offers a museography retracing the history of the territories of Aleria, gateway and understanding of ancient Corsica in the heart of Mediterranean exchanges.
