Above all memory of the past, archives allow researchers to write history, citizens to prove their rights and municipal administration to function. The Municipal Archives of Thouars brings together ancient, modern, contemporary and private collections available for consultation for researchers, historians, curious or passionate. Inventories are available, as well as a small documentary collection, in the reading room of the Archives.
