Aperçu

The Museum of Modern Art in Paris is one of the most important museums of modern and contemporary art in Europe. Located between the Champs-Elysées and the Eiffel tower, the museum, built for the 1937 Universal exhibition, is emblematic of the architecture of the 1930s.
Its collections, rich in more than 15,000 works, present the major artistic trends from 1900 to today, illustrated by major artists in the history of art: Picasso, Modigliani, Robert and Sonia Delaunay, Suzanne Valadon, but also Christian Boltanski, Annette Messager, Peter Doig, Sturtevant, Nina Childress or Sheila Hicks…
It also has rare and exceptional works in situ, such as the first two versions of la Danse by Matisse and la Fée électricité by Raoul Dufy, a monumental work of 600 m2!
Throughout the year, the museum hosts international exhibitions by Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, Sonia Delaunay, Andy Warhol, Sarah Moon, Hans Hartung, Carol Rama, Paula Modersohn-Becker, Anni and Josef Albers, Anna-Eva Bergman, Nicolas de Staël…
