For centuries, Huntly’s town square has been the beating heart of the community—a place where generations have gathered to celebrate, connect, and shape the town’s story. From historic events to everyday moments, it has long been the centre of civic life.
Yet like many town centres across the country, Huntly has faced challenges in recent years. Changing habits, economic shifts, and declining footfall have taken their toll, leaving once-vibrant spaces underused and undervalued.
Now, a new chapter begins. The transformation of a key building in the square into a community-owned and operated centre. Designed to meet the needs of the 21st century, this revitalised space will offer opportunities for learning, leisure, enterprise, and connection—reigniting the square’s role as a place for all.
This project is more than bricks and mortar. It’s a catalyst for renewed confidence, fresh investment, and a shared belief in Huntly’s future.
Over the event weekend visitors will be provided with behind-the-scenes tours around the building sharing our knowledge of the building’s history and its recent renovation. From its humble beginning to this now spacious community facility.
Guided tours are offered and booking is essential.
