The Barony Theatre is a former Primary School (Borrowstoun Primary). Converted into a 120 seater in the 1960s. Original features from the school can be shown alongside all the necessary areas and equipment for a fully functioning theatre.
Our theatre builds connections with theatre goers and other users of the space in the local and broader community. Its history as a former primary School links it with people from Bo’ness who have travelled to live in other parts of the world.
For Doors Open Days there will be a behind the scenes tour of the theatre – front of house and backstage. A description of the history of the building and its place in our community and broader Scottish Theatre community.
There will be a number of guides on hand to take groups around the building.
Ground floor is wheelchair accessible via a ramp into the auditorium.
