About the visit After visiting some geological sites at the different entrances of the village, the participants will see pass before their eyes, during the walk in the town, the summary of all the History from the Roman era to the present day: remains of a fortified castle of the Middleage, then testimonies of a prosperous borough from the time of the Renaissance and Royalty, traces of the French Revolution, memories of the attachment of Savoy to France, finally marks of the transition to modernity, roads, slate quarries and the first tourist infrastructures, not forgetting the memory of the 2 world wars. The tourist vocation of Flumet has developed, summer and winter alike, and its agricultural traditions, still alive, further strengthen the heritage interest of the village.
