The Well House
27 September 2025 (10:00 - 16:00) 28 September 2025 (10:00 - 16:00) The 1821 Category B listed Well House in Bridge of Allan hides a history of both the exploitation of copper ore and mineral water, and is one of the earliest surviving buildings associated with the spa town of Bridge of Allan This little building and the resultant Hydropathic Spa contributed to the success of Bridge of Allan creating the town you can see today. The Well House was completely renovated by volunteers from a Building at Risk in 2020, now completed. For Doors Open Days there will be guided walks of the Airthrey Copper Mine Trail, to explore the industrial heritage around Mine Woods. Walk times will be 1pm on Saturday and Sunday. Sensible shoes are recommended due to undulating ground.
