Art Deco is found in the details
This walk offers a different way of discovering Avenue Louise. Best known as a thoroughfare representative of the 19th century, the architectural history of Avenue Louise seems to end with the Art Nouveau reference buildings. Nevertheless, Art Deco developed in the district more through details added to existing buildings, as well as through the construction of apartment blocks adapted to a new kind of lifestyle in the city. Between the entrance to the Bois de la Cambre and Place Stéphanie, this stroll will reveal treasures hidden in full view, as well as the modern aspects of Avenue Louise. The walk will also evoke the Norine fashion house, whose headquarters on Avenue Louise was a reference point for the social and artistic life of Brussels in the Roaring Twenties. In collaboration with Le Tamanoir.
