The urbanisation of the so-called second ring, including the municipality of Jette, embraced the architectural style of the moment: Art Deco. Architects Diongre, Tenaerts, Ajoux and others designed single-family homes and small apartment buildings that ticked all the Art Deco boxes. Leaving behind the curves of Art Nouveau for more geometric shapes, they played with brick textures, facade ornamentation and cooler colours...
