18 September 2025 (19:30 - 21:30) Join us for a special screening of ‘Living Proof’ and Q+A with filmmaker and curator Dr Emily Munro. Living Proof explores a nation’s complex relationship to the global climate crisis through film and music. In this feature-length documentary from National Library of Scotland, curated footage evocatively shows how our environment has been shaped by the demand for energy, industry and growth. The films director, Emily Munro, frames post-war history through the lens of the current debate, inviting audiences on a journey to revisit the promises of the past and consider how they relate to our future on this planet. Was human-induced climate change inevitable? How can we break free from a boom-and-bust mentality? What paths should we follow to ensure a healthy and sustainable future for generations to come? Dr Emily Munro Biography Dr Emily Munro is a curator at the National Library of Scotland, a writer and a filmmaker. Her feature documentary Living proof: A Climate Story (2021) was nominated for a FOCAL International Award and has screened widely both at home and abroad. Limited spaces available in the surrounding streets – public transport encouraged Some Blue Badge parking available – contact the ARC for further information.
