18 September 2025 (11:00 - 17:00) 19 September 2025 (11:00 - 17:00) 20 September 2025 (11:00 - 17:00) Tours: Friday 19th and Saturday 20th September Time: 2.00pm start Duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes Meeting place: inner foyer space beside café before travelling throughout the building. Led by a former employee of the Third Eye Centre and a retired curator, these tours will give visitors a look into the arts and architectural history of CCA. They will encompass the Alexander 'Greek' Thomson building that fronts onto Sauchiehall Street, home to the Third Eye Centre from 1975-1991, as well as the Georgian villa that became part of the CCA complex following its 2001 redevelopment by Parks & Page Architects. Areas of the buildings not normally open to the public will be included in the tours. As well as a focus on historic architecture, we'll delve into the details of some of the former inhabitants of the buildings from the late 19th century to the mid-20th century. The tours will offer something unique, peeking through windows to the past of our Alexander "Greek" Thomson building, and opening doors to the future of the CCA, presenting recent internal development. The building is open 11am-5pm, Tuesday-Saturday. Third Eye Bar open late Thurs until 11pm and Fri + Sat until Midnight. Overview CCA is Glasgow’s vibrant centre for contemporary art and culture, housed in Alexander ‘Greek’ Thomson’s iconic Grecian Chambers on Sauchiehall Street. We showcase bold, collaborative programmes that spark new ideas and connections. Our Third Eye Bar (est. 2024) hosts DJs and serves locally sourced drinks, with every penny supporting CCA’s creative community.
