18 September 2025 (11:00 - 16:00) Guests will be welcomed at the main entrance on Robertson Street, where - weather permitting - a brief introduction to the front façade will be given. From there, visitors will be guided to the lift to the third floor, continuing by stair to BARD’s rooftop studio and terrace for a tour of the space. Following the studio visit, the group will return via stair and lift to the second floor, before descending the grand main staircase of the Clyde Navigation Trust Building, accompanied by a guide of the buildings its architectural history. The tour will conclude with exclusive access to the Counting House on the ground floor. Overview BARD are an architecture practice working throughout Scotland, operating from a rooftop studio and terrace atop Sir John James Burnet’s Clyde Navigation Trust Building. Since early 2024, they have made their home in this landmark, a striking example of Glasgow’s industrial and architectural heritage. Bicycle racks can be found nearby on Robertson street and on Broomielaw. Limited parking available. Ramps can be provided for entry to the building and access to the Counting House. However, due to building policy, visitors cannot remain unattended while tours are in progress. There is unfortunately no wheelchair access to BARD’s rooftop studio.
