Paisley - Stanely House Paisley (YWAM Paisley)
6 September 2025 (10:00 - 15:00) Stanely House was built in the 1880s by the Coats family, renowned Victorian industrialists who owned the world’s largest thread-making company. After being sold by the family, the house changed hands several times over the next 110 years. The surrounding estate evolved into a residential area, and the house transformed into an elderly care home. In 1992, the Christian charity YWAM (Youth With A Mission) acquired Stanely House and has owned it ever since, offering a variety of training programs for children, youth, and young adults. Stanely House will be open to visitors, featuring guided tours and engaging activities for children. There will also be some displays about the history of the house and reservoir, along with refreshments and guided roof visits. *Our volunteers will accompany groups of maximum 8 people to the roof, from where you can enjoy splendid views in all directions. Parking is available, and it’s just a short walk from the bus stops for the number 26 or 61 buses departing from Paisley Centre.
