Kilbarchan - Kilbarchan Parish Church
6 September 2025 (12:30 - 16:00) Originally established as a relief church, the foundation stone was laid in 1787. Designed by James Brown, the building features a symmetrical two-storey structure with a bow front, round-headed windows, and a piended roof. The interior was altered in 1872 by Robert Baldie, and halls were added in 1931. Notable elements include two stained glass windows flanking a large pulpit and a three-manual organ by Forster & Andrews, relocated from a private residence in 1960. With its rich architectural heritage, the building continues to captivate visitors. A quiz for children will be available, with church members on hand to share insights into the Church's fascinating history.
