Exploring Our Foundations: Exploring the Geology, Hydrology and Biodiversity of Glenamaddy Turlough Join us for a relaxed and informative walk and talk at Glenamaddy Turlough, where we’ll explore how geology, hydrology, and biodiversity come together to shape this unique seasonal lake. Walk alongside: - Dr. Siobhán Power and Dr. Ted McCormack from Geological Survey Ireland - Raedan Doyle, NPWS Ranger for the Glenamaddy area - Rosina Joyce, Biodiversity Officer, Galway County Council Together, we’ll uncover the hidden foundations beneath our feet—from limestone bedrock and groundwater systems to the rich habitats that emerge with seasonal flooding. 🗓 Date: Wednesday, 20th August 2025 🕚 Time: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM 📍 Meeting Point: Carpark of Creggs Road Cemetery, Glenamaddy, Co.
