The French Navy in the Second World War

This exhibition highlights the little-known role of the French Navy during the Second World War. She traces her hesitations in the months that followed the Armistice of 1940, then the gradual reconstitution of her forces. It also testifies to the support it has given to landing operations and the liberation of pockets of resistance. Finally, it draws up an inventory of the heavy damage suffered by military arsenals and ports.
