Aperçu

On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, Citéco opens its doors all weekend! Come discover an extraordinary place, in the heart of the Plaine Monceau: a real castle in the heart of Paris, classified Historic Monument. Built in the 19th century for the banker Émile Gaillard, passionate about medieval art and the Renaissance, this private mansion unique in its kind was then transformed in the 1920s by the Banque de France to install a branch there. We still discover there today an impressive vault surrounded by moats, a monumental hall of the public, and an architectural wealth mixing medieval styles, neo-Renaissance and art deco. Completely restored, the building now houses the City of the Economy, a playful and interactive museum which makes accessible the major economic concepts through games, videos, manipulations and immersive scenography. Throughout the weekend, our mediators will offer you flash mediations, to deliver you unusual anecdotes, architectural details and well-kept secrets of this singular place. And to extend the experience, treat yourself to a gourmet break under the large glass roof of the Inform Café, or browse in the bookshop-boutique, rich in books, unusual objects and gift ideas. A place not to be missed for the curious about heritage, history... and economy! Informations Free access, within the limit of available seats, reservation recommended Book Accessibility
