📸 La halle du Castelviel, a living heritage – Participatory project by Anne Delrez

Invited by the art center Le Lait, the artist Anne Delrez stays in Albi at the end of 2023. She discovers a city deeply marked by Toulouse-Lautrec and its cathedral, but chooses to focus her attention on another heritage element, more contemporary: the hall of Castelviel, in the heart of the district where the future art center is located. Place of life, trade and sociability, the hall becomes the starting point of a participatory project. Anne Delrez invites the inhabitants to entrust family photographs where this emblematic place appears, in order to constitute a collective archive. 📅 Presentation of the project: Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 1:30 PM to 6:30 PM To discover: the fruit of this sensitive collection, and a limited edition mini-edition, designed by the artist, distributed to those present. Anne Delrez directs La Conserverie, National Conservatory of the family album. For more than 13 years, this structure – today nomad – has constituted a unique photographic heritage in Europe, with 56,000 indexed photographs, numerous exhibitions, publications, residences, educational projects and conferences. 📍 Heritage Days weekend, the art center also offers free tours of the exhibition Beyond Sound by Félix Blume, a sensory immersion that questions our perception of the sonic world: – Saturday, September 20 at 4 PM – Sunday, September 21 at 3 PM and 5 PM 👉 An experience at the crossroads of visual arts, memory and the sensitive, not to be missed.
