An emblematic site of the Chemin des Dames, the Dragon’s Cave is a former underground stone quarry immersed in the heart of the fighting during the First World War. This "creute", a place of cantonment, worship, infirmary and even cemetery, testifies to the daily life of the soldiers in each camp and to the hard fighting that marked this territory from 1914 to 1918.
