Aperçu

Le Bois Orcan reopens its doors to the public on the occasion of the 42nd European Heritage Days, on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 September, from 11 am to 6 pm The restoration, carried out without interruption for 35 years under the supervision of Perrot & Richard Architectes, ends this year. Scientists - in particular the building archaeologist Gwyn Meirion-Jones - having put their knowledge at the service of this heritage, it was carried out in a conservation-restoration approach. Because of this, but also because since 1990, companies from the Historical Monuments accompany us, it is presented as exemplary. Their mastery of rare and exceptional know-how has ensured the sustainability of this ensemble, which has received recognition of national interest through its classification as a Historical Monument. We are pleased, at the end of this work and on the occasion of this new edition of the European Heritage Days, whose theme is "Architectural Heritage", to bring them together for presentations, demonstrations, visits and workshops: ABC Leroyer (framework and wood covering), Ateliers Perrault (carpentry, cabinetmaking and framework), Crézé (locksmith, art metalwork and ironworks), Galoger (staff, stucco, plastering), Heriau (cover), Joubrel (traditional masonry and stone cutting), Carpentry of the Charnie (carpentry), Malouinières (manufacture of exceptional colors). mandatory reservation online ticketing at the beginning of September on https://boisorcan.com Informations limited number of places Book
