As part of the European Heritage Days, the HistoRail® museum welcomes you for a guided tour of the collections, allowing you to discover the world of the railway. The opportunity to travel thanks to real objects and model trains that come alive throughout the visit, for an exciting journey in the world of rail. The CDHV, Departmental Railways of Haute-Vienne, occupy a prominent place in this railway journey, with a functional reproduction on an IIm scale. The different architectures of the stations in this local interest network are reproduced at 1/87th scale, as is the off-type station of Eymoutiers, whose real model has just been restored. A temporary exhibition presenting the role of the railway in the Liberation of France is proposed, labeled by the Mission Libération de l'État. The sketches of the artist Maurice Mante, preserved by the Archives Municipales de Limoges, will be visible and still constitute today a major testimony to the bombings of the train station of Limoges Puy-Imbert in June 1944. Informations Tour prices: adults: 8 €, children (from 6 to 18 years old): 5 €, free for children under 6\. Guided tours at 2:30 PM and 4:30 PM.
