Patrick Ducré, master of glass and light explorer offers demonstrations of stained glass on the occasion of the European Heritage Days, to go behind the scenes of a rare and fascinating know-how. In 2007, Patrick Ducré deepened his know-how in the demanding art of stained glass, notably in Chartres, high place of this secular tradition. He participates in important restoration works, notably within the cathedral of Le Mans. But if the past inspires Patrick Ducré, it is resolutely towards the future that he turns his gaze. Passionate artist, Patrick Ducré is not content with perpetuating an ancestral art, he breaks the codes and redefines stained glass in his own way. His production is more in line with a contemporary art approach. Here, glass becomes a medium of innovation, contrasts and dialogues between tradition and modernity.
