Located on the territory of the commune of Bouillac (Tarn-et-Garonne), the abbey of Grandselve was in the Middle Ages the most important and influential Cistercian abbey of the great southwest of France. She played a reformatory role in Fontfroide, founded towns such as Beaumont-de-Lomagne and Granada, as well as abbeys in Calers, Candeil, Santes-Creus and Cartagena.
